Wedding is a night filled with lots of emotions, glamor and fashion. It sets an exhibition for various outfits, accessories, cuisines and various cultures.

Accessories play a very important role in completing a groom’s outfit.  It is essential to select the right set of accessories. There is a great variety of groom accessories available in the market. A groom could prefer wearing a formal outfit like a formal suit or a traditional sherwani or a kurta. These wedding outfits are complemented with stylish accessories.

Every groom dreams about being a prince on his wedding day. For this he leaves no stone unturned. Nowadays, grooms are very particular about their look and the way they present and portray themselves on their wedding. They choose accessories that perfectly match their wedding outfit and enhance the look. A beautiful diamond cufflink is worn with the sherwani. An important accessory of an Indian groom is Turban or Pagri. The look of the Indian groom would be incomplete without it. The turban is worn with the sherwani or the kurta that give it an elegant look. It could be made from different fabrics like the leheriyas, and self woven brocades. It is usually made of chunri, zari and gharchola material that is very colorful.

The turban is decorated with a Sarpech that is an ornament made of gold or diamond and decorated with precious stones. Sometimes the turbans are even decorated with garlands of colorful beads. The groom even wears a Kantha, which are long necklaces made of colorful beads and white pearls. It was commonly worn by the kings and the prince. Some grooms even wear a traditional pearl necklace with an antique pendant or a broach. Complimenting Mojris with classic embroidery completes the look.

It is a tradition among the Rajasthani, Marwari and the Punjabi’s that the groom has to carry a knife or a sword with him. It symbolizes prestige and royalty. The sword case is decorated with precious stones and gems. The groom even wears a waistband that gives a majestic appeal to the groom’s attire. Sehar is another accessory that holds a significant place in the grooms overall look.

Grooms in a formal western suit have few accessories to adorn his look. He wears a diamond or other semi-precious stone cufflink to add a touch of style and elegance. It is important to select the color of the cufflinks that suits the color of the suit. The groom may even wear a tie-clip. This will further enhance his look. All this makes these accessories makes the groom look handsome.
