An arranged marriage is considered to be a secured form of marriage. As per the age old beliefs caste, family status and religion were factors that were given more preference.

Today’s generation does not support the idea of marrying a person they don’t know. Young masses prefer choosing the person they know, understand and love as their life partner. The factors seeking importance for them are education, nature, looks rather than caste. These types of marriages are taken further with the approval of the family members.

Love–arranged marriage is a blend of both the ideas that love and arrange marriages promote. Families from both the sides meet and know each other. Parents usually don’t object to this marriage but they check that the person chosen is worth for their children.

Love-arranged marriages have applied some brake to the practice of dowry system. Parents and family members present gifts to the bride and the groom as a token their love and blessing. In case, the couple getting married belongs to different religion parents prefer court marriage.
